Wireless remote control for overhead crane

What is radio remote control:

We have seen many wireless devices which work and perform from a safe and long-distance such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth device and many more. This kind of device uses radio waves technology to communicate with the end device. The radio remote device generates artificial waves to move and control the objects. This mechanism is known as radio remote control.

The radio remote device is now mostly used in Industrial sectors to control the cranes and hoist. The transmitter device can be used for double girder EOT crane, single girder EOT crane, jib crane, Goliath cranes, hydra cranes, tower cranes, and more. This type of crane is used at industrial and construction sites that travel above the head at a specific height.

The motion of the crane is a long travel, cross travel, and hoist. The hoist is like a hook that is attached to the crane. This hoist is mainly used for lifting and moving heavy materials. The hoist has a wired rope through which it can go up and down directions.

The working concept of wireless remote control for overhead crane:

For wireless communication there are always two objects required the one transmits the signal and the other receives the signal. For radio remote devices, the same transmitter and receiver are required for communication. The transmitter is a small and handy device that can be easily carried by the operator. And at the other end receiver is attached to the crane used for receiving the signal through the antenna.

An artificial radio wave is generated whenever the operator pushes the button of the transmitter device. These radio waves are nothing but electromagnetic waves which vibrate in the frequency range of ten kHz to three hundred GHz are known as radio waves and microwaves.

The data packet is sent in encrypted form to the receiver. The encryption techniques are used for the safe transmission of signals. In the encryption technique, the plain text is turned into the cipher text. So when the receiver receives the data packet then it first decodes and decrypts the data. This process of communication in the middle of receiver and receiver takes place more than 10 times in a second. After receiving the signal the receiver also transmits the signal to the transmitter as an acknowledgment.

There are many things observed by the transmitter device while communicating with the receiver such as the quality of the signal, the communication gap in the middle of transmitter and receiver, the lost packets, the number of successful transmissions, the number of errors that occurred, speed of the signal, the range of the signal, etc. For changing the continuous transmission and to avoid external interference the hopping frequency technique is used by the radio remote device.

While communicating the transmitter device adjusts the power automatically according to the distance. If the distance is more in the middle of transmitter and receiver then it consumes more energy and if the distance is minor then takes less energy. The transmitter device can send the signal at a low battery even from a long distance.

The push buttons on the radior emote control for EOT cranes are interlocked in a pair of buttons. Suppose if we have to move the crane in a forward direction then we have to keep pressing the forward button until it reaches its destination. In between that the pair button i.e. reverse button cannot be used until the forward button is released.

The quality of the hoist crane wireless remote control:

1) The radio remote devices use the 2.4 GHz frequency band which is globally used.

2) The communication speed of the transmitter and receiver is 10 times in a second.

3) Wireless remote device adjusts the power automatically according to the distance.

4) The transmitter device works wireless and hence it uses the battery or charging system.

5) The battery of the crane remote control is so durable that it lasts a long minimum of 6 months.

6) The hopping frequency technique is used by the transmitter so it can avoid unnecessary interference and for changing the transmission frequency continuously.

7) The transmitter device is built in such a way that it can prevent electric shocks and corrosion.

8) While communicating with the receiver the transmitter device can range from 10 meters to 200 meters depending upon the signals.

9) The receiver device also transmits the feedback signal after getting the signal from the transmitter device.

10) The transmitter device is made according to the customer's need.

11) To prevent outsider attacks the data packet sends in an encrypted format to the receiver.

Conclusion:

Though radio remote control device has dominance and pitfalls wireless device is more reliable and less expensive as compared to the wired systems. The radio remote device can be operated from a safe and long-distance to operate the overhead crane. Because of this, the operator's life is risk-free as the operator doesn't have to get close to the cranes. Hence the wireless remote control for the crane is more in demand as compared to the others.

Since many manufacturing companies built the radio remote device but the best quality of crane remote control you will only get from the Anand Systems Engineering Private Limited. They are one of the best crane remote control manufacturers in India based in the Mumbai location. The radio remote is highly customized and optimized and made according to the client's needs.
