The wireless remote control for crane is used for the industrial overhead crane. The overhead crane is also called an EOT crane and this type of crane travels above the head at a particular height. The overhead crane can be controlled by wired or wireless systems. 

The electronic or heavy equipment machine can be controlled or manage through artificial radio waves. This type of radio wave is called the radio remote control. The radio remote device uses two things to operate the overhead crane i.e. transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is a small handy device that is operated by the operator while the receiver is attached to the crane.

When the operator presses the button on the transmitter device at that time is signal is sent in the form of the data packet. This data packet is encrypted which is decoded by the receiver. While sending the data packet the transmitter converts the cipher text into plain text so that an outsider entity cannot hack or read the data.

The transmitter observes many things while communicating with the receiver such as the signal quality, the lost packet during communication, the communication gap between the transmitter and receiver, the number of successful transmissions, the number of errors that occurred, and many more. 



To protect from the external attack and to avoid unwanted interference the hopping frequency technique is used by the transmitter and receiver. The EOT crane remote control device adjusts the power automatically according to the distance between transmitter and receiver.

The transmitter device takes more energy if the distance is far between the transmitter and receiver, and if the distance is near it takes less energy. The transmitter device can range from 10 meters to 200 meters for transmitting the signal.

The transmitter device comes in various types such as 8 button way, 12 button way, and joystick radio remote. In the transmitter, the button type is configured with the interlocked feature in a pair of buttons. That means two buttons in the pair cannot be used at the same time.

If a down button is pressed then at that time up button cannot be used until the crane reaches a downward direction. And we have to keep press the button for the continuous moving of the crane. The communication between the receiver and transmitter is 10 times within a second which is so fast.
